CryptoWorld News reports that on April 10, according to Politico, three U.S. senators questioned whether Trump used a luncheon event as bait by “ingratiating” himself with participants to drive purchases of TRUMP coins. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Adam Schiff, and Richard Blumenthal have sent a letter to the event organizers, requesting relevant documents to understand Trump’s role in the planning, promotion, and potential profits of the April 25 event at Mar-a-Lago. The event was limited to investors ranked in the top 297 in holdings of TRUMP tokens. Notably, on the same day, Trump also needed to attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, raising questions about whether he could attend both events. The event terms also noted that Trump “may be unable to attend.” The senators said that, despite doubts about Trump’s attendance, the organizers still marketed it as “contacting the President,” essentially encouraging the purchase of the Meme 币 he issued in order to generate profits for Trump and his family.
