A Person's Time

I'm twenty years old this year, still single.
Friends get married, have children, post couple photos, and the lively scenes seem unrelated to me. I eat alone, watch movies alone, fix broken light bulbs alone, and also endure the loneliness of late nights alone.
Occasionally, I envy those with companionship, and during the glow of countless lights, I feel my room is especially quiet. But I don't want to settle for just anyone, nor do I want to sacrifice myself just to get married.
