These days, watching the K-line of $AAVE, $LDO, $HYPE, and $UNI in the account steadily decline, I really feel uncomfortable inside. Seeing the once "wealth code" turn into a meat grinder, it's inevitable to feel frustrated. But after calming down late at night and reviewing, this wave of sharp decline was actually not surprising at all.
The core reason still lies in the weak macro environment. In the crypto market, Bitcoin remains the only "main valve." When Bitcoin drops, liquidity instantly dries up, and all altcoins, even established DeFi leaders, can only follow passively and plunge. This is called "a nest of eggs under a collapsed roof," systemic sell-off—no one can escape.
Moreover, these projects themselves are also facing "internal troubles." Take AAVE as an example, the recent liquidation incident directly exposed hidden risks in its mechanism, followed by core developers leaving and internal community disagreements. These fundamental cracks are deadly to confidence. LDO and UNI are similarly struggling; after the bull market narrative receded, the total value locked (TVL) in the entire DeFi sector continued to shrink, with no new capital entering, leaving only the brutal selling pressure of existing holdings. As for HYPE, although it had a bright moment as a newcomer, in the face of real panic and sell-offs, it lacks enough historical foundation to sustain consensus, making its declines even harsher.
This bloody lesson once again confirms a cruel truth: no matter how strong a project or how solid its logic, in bear markets and extreme panic, they are as fragile as paper. Never cling to the obsession that "the leader won't die."
When the market is bad, surviving is the only belief. Protecting your principal is far more important than catching any rebound. Reduce leverage, give up on stubborn holding, don’t fight the trend; once you feel emotions are off or risk control is threatened, pulling out and observing is always the right move. In the crypto world, those who buy are apprentices; those who sell and hold cash are the masters. As long as the green mountains remain, there’s no fear of running out of firewood. #Gate广场四月发帖挑战 $HYPE
