Automatic margin top-ups have a time lag. The forced margin at the moment you place a buy order is only [some specific] amount—so when the price suddenly spikes in the opposite direction and you also multiply it by your leverage, you simply can’t withstand it. At this point, don’t open an isolated position; switch to a full position.
