When I first started trading on the exchange, I was also confused by the symbols K, M, E, B, T. Today I’m noting them down so I won’t forget.

Basically, K represents 1k, M is 1 million. When you see 1B, it’s equivalent to 1 billion VND, and E stands for 100 million. T is even larger, representing a trillion.

The cool thing is, when looking at charts or trading volume, these symbols appear everywhere. If you don’t know exactly how much 1B is, it’s easy to misunderstand the value. I usually remember them in order from smallest to largest: 1K (1000), 1M (1 million), 1E (100 million), 1B (1 billion), 1T (trillion).

If you often forget these, bookmark this—it’s very handy when checking data on the platform.
