Ask AI: Why did Pakistan’s prime minister propose a two-week plan?

China Media Group (CMG) reporters learned on April 7 local time that after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz proposed the “two-week plan,” sources said that both the U.S. and Iran are expected to soon bring good news, and that a final agreement is expected to be reached before 7 p.m. local time on the 7th.

Earlier, Shehbaz posted on social media saying: “Diplomatic efforts aimed at bringing the current Middle East conflict to a peaceful end are being advanced steadfastly and with force, and are expected to achieve tangible success in the near term.” To leave room for the diplomatic process, he asked Trump to extend the “final deadline” by two weeks, and also asked his “brother in Iran” to open the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as a gesture of goodwill.
