Beijing News Shell Finance reported (Reporter Wang Linlin): On March 12, Ideal Auto released its 2025 fourth-quarter and full-year financial results. During the earnings call, Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Ideal Auto, said that 2026 is the year Ideal Auto’s third-generation platform will be delivered to the market, and the company is confident in the competitiveness of its products and technologies this year. Competition across the entire market is intensifying, and broad-market incremental demand is limited. Considering these two factors, Ideal Auto’s sales target for this year is to achieve more than 20% year-over-year growth.

To this end, Li Xiang said that a 3+2 strategy has been set. “3” refers to: first, to manage the sales system well—effective management of the direct-operated system will form long-term competitive strength; second, to ensure the successful upgrade of the L series, including the L9; and third, to steadily ramp up pure-electric models. After thoroughly resolving issues such as the supply chain, the company will strive to establish a solid foothold for Ideal’s pure-electric models in the mid-to-high-end market. The two supporting strategies are: first, in recent years, the company’s investments in intelligentization this year will be converted into a completely different product experience; and second, to expand into overseas markets. This year marks Ideal Auto’s first year of officially positioning itself abroad, which is also a key long-term opportunity for Ideal Auto.

“In the second quarter of this year, Ideal Auto will officially release a brand-new Ideal L9 series. The Livis version at the top trim of the Ideal L9 carries Ideal Auto’s deep thinking on a flagship SUV for embodied intelligence.” Li Xiang said that the successful upgrade of the Ideal L9 will directly determine the market ceiling for the entire L series, and the next-generation Ideal L9 will build core competitive barriers at the technology level.

In the pure-electric model segment, Li Xiang revealed that in the second half of 2026, Ideal Auto will launch a brand-new pure-electric flagship SUV, the Ideal i9.
