Senior Iranian official: The U.S. seeks to reopen the Strait of Hormuz

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that a senior Iranian source said the U.S. is seeking to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran will not reopen it for “empty promises.” If the U.S. attacks Iran’s power plants, the entire region and Saudi Arabia will be plunged into complete darkness. When the U.S. shows flexibility, Iran will also demonstrate flexibility. If the situation gets out of control, Iran’s allies will also shut down the shipping route through the Strait of Malacca.
