Trump extends the final deadline to Iran until the evening of April 7. Pakistan mediates and proposes the "Islamabad Agreement" framework, with both sides communicating overnight on a ceasefire plan. Iran has responded and put forward 10 terms, but the prospects for a ceasefire remain uncertain.

U.S. F-15E fighter jets were shot down in Iran, with both sides claiming different accounts of the rescue operation. The U.S. and Israel continue airstrikes on Iranian universities, senior Revolutionary Guard targets, and others. Iran has responded with a tough counterattack and threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz.
