Just found out: There is actually the oldest burning light bulb in the world, and it has been shining continuously for over 124 years! 🔦 It is located in a fire station in Livermore, California, and was installed in 1901. Unbelievable, right?

The craziest part is that this first light bulb in the world was originally operated at 30-60 watts, but now it only emits about 4 watts—like a nightlight. A French engineer named Adolphe Chaillet hand-blown it back then. Most modern light bulbs last between 1,000 and 2,000 hours, but this one? It has exceeded all expectations.

The secret is said to be a thicker carbon filament and the constant low power. Turning it on and off constantly would break it, but since it’s always on, it just keeps going. It’s now even in the Guinness Book of World Records and has a live webcam so you can check if it’s still burning. The world’s first light bulb remains simply a mystery—even modern physics can’t fully explain it. 🌟
