Netanyahu claims today's Israel is the "strongest in history" and warns Trump not to rush into a ceasefire

According to CCTV International News, on April 6, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a video statement emphasizing the alliance between Israel and the United States, saying that Israel is still carrying out ongoing strikes against Iran, including attacks on Iran’s petrochemical facilities and assassinations of senior Iranian officials.

Netanyahu claimed that Iran is no longer the Iran of the past, and that Israel is no longer the Israel of the past, describing today’s Israel as the “strongest in history.”

According to a report by Israeli Channel 12 TV on the same day, citing sources familiar with the matter, Netanyahu on April 5, when speaking with U.S. President Donald Trump by phone, warned him not to reach a ceasefire with Iran at the current stage.

The report said that Netanyahu, while apparently calling Trump to congratulate the successful rescue of the crew of the U.S. military’s F-15E fighter aircraft, in fact was expressing concerns about “a significant risk” that a ceasefire could be jeopardized.

The report also said that U.S. officials believe that although Trump hopes to reach an agreement with Iran, given Iran’s hardline stance at present, the likelihood of both sides reaching an agreement in the short term is low.

On April 6 local time, the Israel Defense Forces’ Home Front Command said it would extend the current wartime protective guidance to at least 4:00 p.m. on April 7, with schools in most areas remaining closed. Israel said that at that time it would reassess the situation.
