I have always been against beginners who are new to this from participating in the Tao subnet, because most people are unable to obtain excess returns on the subnet.
If you’re bullish, then just hold $TAO .
But in the time ahead, I instead believe that finding high-quality subnets to participate in staking is a better risk-reward (profit/loss) proposition.
Because the current staking trend across the entire TAO ecosystem is that the amount staked on the root network has been decreasing long-term, while the amount staked on subnets has been increasing long-term.
The quality of subnet projects is improving, with ongoing survival of the fittest and elimination of the unfit.
Even recently, most of the increase in the TAO price is also because SN3 Templr completed pre-training of a 70B large model and broke through into the mainstream.
The TAO ecosystem is clearly a system with an internal loop, and TAO will not flow out of the whole system. When you are sure that the amount of TAO staked in subnets will keep increasing and has become a trend, then finding a high-quality subnet to stake in is the best choice.
