New Product Launch | Power Energy Technology Debuts 588Ah and 601Ah Large Capacity Batteries, 8MWh Energy Storage System Makes a Grand Appearance
(Footprint: Enerpower Technology)
On April 1, the 14th Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2026) opened grandly in Beijing. Enerpower Technology made a major appearance with comprehensive energy storage solutions across all scenarios, and held a new product launch event on-site titled “Intelligent Rong Global, Co-create the Future,” officially releasing 588Ah and 601Ah high-capacity cells. It also introduced the new-generation PyOcean series 6.25MWh & 8MWh high-capacity energy storage systems, while simultaneously showcasing new products in its sodium-ion and solid-state battery series, fully presenting the latest technological achievements and end-to-end solution capabilities, and leading the new direction of energy storage development with innovative strength.
Multiple new products released in a concentrated burst
Empowering the future of energy storage across all scenarios
At the launch event, Enerpower Technology’s Chief Brand Officer Zhang Pengbo officially released two high-capacity cells, 588Ah and 601Ah, further enriching the lineup of large-capacity cell products. At the same time, the new-generation PyOcean series 6.25MWh and 8MWh high-capacity energy storage systems also made a major appearance.
During the speech, Zhang Pengbo emphasized that energy storage is transforming from a “cost equipment” to a “revenue asset.” For grid-side and power-side energy storage, the core investment metric is not capacity but investment return—this is the underlying logic behind Enerpower Technology’s design of this new product.
For the 601Ah high-capacity cells released this time, the energy density reaches 425.8Wh/L, cycle life exceeds 12,000 cycles, energy efficiency is as high as 96.5%, and compared with the prior-generation product, energy density has increased by more than 9%, cycle life improved by 20%, and energy efficiency increased by nearly 2 percentage points. What larger cells bring is a 50% reduction in the total number of components at the system level, a 38% reduction in footprint, and a 10% reduction in installation workload, thereby lowering CAPEX costs from the source.
The 8MWh energy storage system built on 601Ah cells focuses on a “asset return-oriented” approach to end-to-end design, centering on three key investment core metrics: IRR, LCOE, and cash flow stability. The system is equipped with a high-precision SOX algorithm (error < 1%), full-domain balancing technology, and MCDC cluster balancing technology. It effectively resolves issues such as parallel circulating currents and SOC deviation, ensuring efficient operation throughout the entire life cycle of the power station. In addition, the system also features a three-layer fire-fighting design, simplified system deployment and maintenance, strong environmental adaptability, system noise reduction of ≥15dB for the full unit, and supports flexible adaptation to both centralized and string-type PCS. System efficiency is increased to 89%, meeting the requirements for grid-forming per national standards.
In terms of cutting-edge technology directions, Enerpower Technology simultaneously released new products in its sodium-ion battery and solid-state battery series, demonstrating deep reserves in next-generation energy storage technologies.
For sodium-ion batteries, Enerpower Technology introduced three aluminum-can cell models (160Ah / 120Ah / 50Ah) and two pouch cell models (15Ah / 30Ah), covering multiple scenarios including grid-side and power-side applications, industrial and commercial applications, residential applications, AIDC, and communication base stations, further expanding the application boundaries of energy storage technology.
For solid-state batteries, Enerpower Technology released two semi-solid pouch battery models, with energy densities reaching 320Wh/kg and 350Wh/kg respectively. They are suitable for frontier applications with very high requirements for energy density and safety, such as robots, low-altitude aircraft, high-end electric motorcycles, and outdoor power supplies.
At the launch event, Li Xiang, Minister of Sodium Battery Materials Development at Enerpower Technology, said: “Sodium-ion batteries are the strategic keystone for energy storage and an important direction for the future development of energy storage.” Following this trend, Enerpower Technology continues to focus on high safety, long cycle life, and wide-temperature-domain performance, and promotes large-scale application of sodium-ion technology across more scenarios.
Deepening application value through technical sharing
Continuous realization of capabilities across all scenarios
At the exhibition site, around its capabilities for energy storage applications across all scenarios, Enerpower Technology delivered two technical sharing sessions. From product solutions to hands-on case studies, it systematically presented the technical depth and application breadth of its products.
Hu Zhongxiang, Technical Manager of Enerpower Technology’s Domestic Marketing Business Unit, provided a systematic interpretation of the 522kWh energy storage system solution. He pointed out that the Enerpower 522kWh energy storage integrated cabinet adopts a high-integration design of over 200kWh/㎡. Compared with the 261kWh solution, the cost per kWh is reduced by 5%, the payback period is shortened by 41%, and the investment return over the whole life cycle increases by more than 54%.
In addition, the product supports multiple application modes including PV-storage, storage-for-diesel, and combined PV-storage-for-diesel. It also ensures stable system operation through multiple safety designs such as liquid cooling temperature equalization, thermal-electric separation, and an 8-level anti-seismic design. Meanwhile, by combining its self-developed cloud platform, it can achieve visualized management across the entire life cycle.
In the case sharing segment, Technical Manager Niu Jiahui demonstrated Enerpower Technology’s project deployment capabilities in different scenarios through multiple typical projects. From the 3132kWh user-side energy storage project in Taizhou, Zhejiang, to the 10MWh island microgrid energy storage project on Beiji Island in Zhejiang, to the PV-storage integrated project at a waste treatment plant in Wuhu, Jiangsu Huadian Yizheng’s 80MWh source-grid-load-storage project, and then to the 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage project in Ningxia Yongning—these fully showcase Enerpower Technology’s systematic application capabilities across multiple scenarios such as islands, factories, and the source-grid-side.
High-visibility launch of energy storage solutions across all scenarios
Building a smart energy ecosystem
At this exhibition, Enerpower Technology used a matrix of six exhibition zones to comprehensively present end-to-end energy storage solutions centered on energy storage and deeply integrated into the coordinated system of “source-grid-load-storage integration.” From core cells to system integration, from residential to industrial & commercial and then to source-grid-side, it builds a complete smart energy ecosystem.
Among them, the cell exhibition zone focuses on showcasing core products such as the 588Ah and 601Ah large cells, sodium-ion cells, and solid-state cells, highlighting Enerpower Technology’s end-to-end self-developed capability from materials to cells, providing strong underlying support for high-capacity systems. The grid-side energy storage solution focuses on system-level applications that are large-capacity, high-safety, and long-life. Targeting independent energy storage power stations and grid-side needs, it provides diverse services such as peak shaving and frequency regulation, and electricity market trading.
In addition, the booth also simultaneously showcases multi-scenario application solutions including zero-carbon industrial and commercial park PV-storage solutions, communication reserve power systems, stacked residential energy storage systems, and smart energy management systems, covering diverse needs such as industrial & commercial, communications, and household energy storage.
From technological breakthroughs to scenario deployment, Enerpower Technology is continuously creating measurable and sustainable asset value for global customers with its end-to-end self-developed capability and energy storage solutions across all scenarios. In the future, Enerpower Technology will continue to deepen research in core energy storage technologies, and work together with global partners to explore a more efficient and safer energy future.
