Indonesia Convicts Three Individuals in Terrorism Financing Case via Cryptocurrency


Indonesian authorities have found three individuals guilty of using cryptocurrency to finance terrorism, reports TRM Labs. The investigation linked their wallet addresses to a network associated with ISIS through blockchain transaction analysis; one of the suspects transferred over 49,000 USDT in 15 transactions to a foreign exchange. According to TRM Labs, this may be one of the first cases in Southeast Asia where blockchain data served as key evidence.
