What’s inside one barrel of oil?

Many people believe that the barrel is entirely converted into fuel for our cars, but the truth is that “black gold” is the raw material for almost every detail of our lives—here are the contents of one barrel (159 liters):

• 42% gasoline: the primary engine of transportation.

• 27% diesel: fuel for trucks and factories.

• 10% jet fuel: to bring the world together.

• 7% petrochemical materials: used in making plastics, medicines, and clothing.

• 5% ship fuel oil: to run the giant carriers.

• 4% liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): for household uses.

• 5% lubricating oils and asphalt: to pave our roads and protect our engines.
From one barrel, we produce more than we can imagine!
