I just saw something interesting about Emirates. It turns out that out of its 116 aircraft, only about one-third of the airline’s double-deck planes have returned to Dubai in recent times. In other words, most of them are still spread out in other places. Bloomberg published this recently, and honestly it really reflects how complicated everything is in aviation right now. Operations aren’t going well, restrictions are everywhere, and flight demand is still unpredictable. Those double-deck aircraft are the biggest and most expensive to maintain, so if they’re not stationed there, it’s because something isn’t working the way it should. It’s strange to see such a large airline with its fleet so dispersed, isn’t it? The industry is truly going through a tough time.
