Currently, everyone holds three long-term swing positions.
The holding period will be longer than you imagine.
The process won't be smooth sailing either.
Profit → Paper Loss → Profit Again → Rebound…
Repeating over and over, like riding a roller coaster.
But this is precisely the normal state of long-term swing trading.
If you only focus on profit and loss over a few minutes or hours, you'll be driven crazy by emotions and end up cutting your losses.
In the futures market, why do most people lose money?
Because they only do short-term trading, eyes only on the immediate red and green, without regard for the bigger picture.
Short-term trading isn't impossible, but pure short-term = more losses than gains, based on statistical facts.
Chart analysis isn't a god; my swing positions will also experience paper losses.
But as long as the structure isn't broken and the trend hasn't changed, I hold on.
Patience is what retail traders lack the most, and it's also the only thing that can beat the big players.
Whether these three positions ultimately make a profit or a loss, the market will give the answer.
But at least, I won't get off before dawn.
