I wonder if any of you have heard of Paul Le Roux. He is one of those figures who sparks a lot of speculation in the кripto-społeczności, especially in the context of the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.
This guy’s story is straight out of a crime thriller. Born in Zimbabwe in 1972, adopted by a couple who moved to RPA. From a young age, he was obsessed with computers and quickly mastered programming. He worked in Wielka Brytania, USA, Australia—wherever he could.
But what Paul Le Roux does is more than just ordinary coding. He created E4M—encryption software designed to protect people from government surveillance. It sounds like something that could be connected to the spirit of Bitcoina, right? His privacy vision was truly advanced for those times.
After his divorce, he started living like a nomad—Hong Kong, Holandia, then the Filipiny. But instead of focusing on cryptographic projects, Le Roux got involved in something far darker. A platform called RX Limited offering dubious pharmaceutical services, arms trading, gold smuggling, money laundering. Complete chaos.
While in Manili, Paul Le Roux oversaw a network of illegal operations. He even had his own armed forces. At the same time, he worked with the DEA as an informant, which is completely insane. In the end, he was caught in Liberia as a result of a DEA operation and sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2020.
But here’s the interesting part—his cryptographic skills and knowledge of encryption fuel theories that Paul Le Roux could be Satoshi Nakamoto. Sometimes I wonder if that’s possible. This guy’s story is like a spy-movie script, but with real consequences.
For now, it remains a mystery. But when it comes to the people who had the knowledge and motivation to create Bitcoina, Paul Le Roux definitely shows up on the list of possible candidates.
