【U.S. Stock Futures】 Iran: Announce Ceasefire Conditions at the Appropriate Time, Negotiation Is Not Weakness, Oil Prices Turn Downward
According to Iran’s state news agency (IRNA), Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that in response to various proposals that concluded the war, Tehran has finalized its demands, but will only publish them externally at an appropriate time. He emphasized that Iran will never give in to pressure.
He said: “A few days ago, they put forward a proposal through intermediaries, and this U.S. 15-point plan was conveyed via Pakistan and some other friendly countries.” He added: “Such proposals are both extremely ambitious and seem unusual and illogical.”
He emphasized that Iran has its own framework. Baghaei added: “Based on our own interests and considerations, we have compiled a series of demands from the past and the present into a book.” The foreign ministry spokesperson rejected the claim that “meeting with mediators means weakness.”
“Islamic Republic of Iran quickly and bravely提出 its views on a certain plan, and this should not be seen as a sign of surrender to the enemy.”
“From the moment the discussions to launch began, we have already been ready to respond. When necessary, we will clearly inform you.”
Oil prices fluctuated and fell again. NYMEX crude oil dropped 2%, while Brent crude fell 0.5%.

Pakistan proposes a “two-stage ceasefire plan”
Reuters cited sources as saying that Iran and the United States have received a plan aimed at ending hostilities. The plan could take effect as early as today, and will lead to the Strait of Hormuz reopening.
Pakistan drafted a framework agreement to end hostilities and delivered it to Iran and the United States last night. The framework is based on a “two-stage proposal”: first achieve an immediate ceasefire, followed by signing a comprehensive agreement. The source said: “All elements must reach consensus within today.” The source added that initial understanding would be drafted in the form of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), with the finalization completed through Pakistan; Pakistan is currently the only communication channel for the talks between the two sides.
Reuters reported that the expected agreement would involve Iran’s commitment to renounce the development of nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting economic sanctions and unfreezing Iran’s overseas assets.
Iraq granted permission to pass through the Strait of Hormuz
After news spread that Iran had exempted Iraq—so that its transit through the Strait of Hormuz would face no restrictions—Reuters reported that Iraq’s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) has asked its customers to submit their crude oil pickup plans within 24 hours.
Axios reported that mediators from Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey are making final efforts to achieve a 45-day ceasefire among the United States, Israel, and Iran.
A senior Iranian official warned that if the United States escalates attacks against Iran, global energy routes worldwide outside the Strait of Hormuz could be threatened.
Reuters cited a SOMO document as saying: “Given the situation mentioned above, to ensure the continuity and stability of crude oil export operations, we urge your company to submit the pickup plan within 24 hours so that your pickup arrangements can be handled in a timely manner, including vessel nomination and contract cargo quantities, and in full compliance with the agreed terms and conditions.” Since the war began, Iraq’s oil production has collapsed to about 800k barrels per day.
Strait of Hormuz current vessel navigation status
The document further stated: “We hereby reiterate that all loading terminals, including Basra Oil Terminal and its related facilities, remain in full operation. SOMO is fully prepared to carry out all contracted pickup plans without restriction.”
Trump posted on social media Truth Social: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time! (8:00 P.M. Tuesday night in U.S. Eastern Time!)”, implying that it is the deadline for a final ultimatum—8:00 a.m. Wednesday in Hong Kong time.
Democrats said Trump’s latest threats toward Iran are “madness,” and warned that attacking civilian facilities could constitute war crimes.
It is worth noting that the situation on the front is urgent, and any information may be enough to reverse the current market conditions.
