Amnesiac Veteran — My Wallet Password Is the Coordinates of the Mountains in Afghanistan

My name is James, a former U.S. military officer.
In 2019, I was injured by an IED while on a mission in Afghanistan and lost most of my memory. The only thing I remember is that I have a Bitcoin, and the private key is hidden somewhere. In 2026, through psychotherapy, I gradually recovered some fragments of my memory.

Memory Fragments
“Wallet password... not a word, but coordinates... 34° North... 69° East... north of Kabul...” I checked Google Maps, and it’s the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan. But I can’t go back to find it now.

Seeking Help on Gate Square
I posted on the square, describing my situation. An ex-veteran private message me: “I know a contractor in Kabul who can help you find it.” I hesitated but agreed. Two weeks later, the contractor sent a photo: inside a cave, buried in an iron box, with a piece of paper that has 12 words. I entered the wallet — 0.3 BTC (about $20k).

My Decision
I donated 0.1 BTC to the Veteran Mental Health Support Fund, 0.1 BTC to the contractor, and kept the remaining 0.1 BTC for myself. I wrote on the square: “Memory is more precious than Bitcoin. But Bitcoin helped me buy back some memories.” For the April challenge, I will use this 0.1 BTC red envelope daily to tip fellow veterans who are also struggling in pain. If you know them, please share.
