The Japanese government states that two ships related to the country have passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Shigeru Munakata said at a regular press conference on Monday that two ships associated with Japan transited the Strait of Hormuz on April 3 and April 4, confirming earlier reports. There are still 43 ships associated with Japan remaining in the Persian Gulf. Munakata said Japan will continue its efforts to ensure safe navigation through this waterway. In addition, Munakata said claims on social media that Japan will face difficulties in ensuring the supply of naphtha in June are not true. As for arrangements for meetings between Japan and Iran, and between Japan and the United States, no specific decision has yet been made.
