been scrolling through some crazy crypto wealth stats and honestly the numbers are wild. so there's this venture capitalist tim draper who's estimated at around 1.2 billion, and like half of that comes from his bitcoin holdings. pretty insane when you think about it. the guy literally called bitcoin early and just kept stacking.
then you've got these other figures in the space - some exchange founders sitting on billions, the winklevoss twins who hit over 7 billion by 2021, ripple's ceo with around 1.3 billion in net worth. there's also this computer scientist dan larimer with like 700 million, and an early bitcoin investor anthony di iorio who crossed the 1 billion mark. barry silbert's dcg portfolio valued at 3.5 billion but apparently dealing with some drama right now.
what's interesting is how tim draper's net worth basically tells the story of early bitcoin adoption - guy believed in the tech, invested heavy, and watched it compound. some of these other figures got rich through exchange equity, some through early crypto projects. the wealth distribution in crypto is wild tbh. anyone else surprised by how much these early believers actually made?
