Gate News reports that on April 6, the Bahraini Foreign Minister called on the United Nations to pass a resolution authorizing the use of force to open the Strait of Hormuz in order to prevent a humanitarian and economic crisis. The Bahraini Foreign Minister stated: "This draft is not seeking to escalate the situation, but aims to provide a framework to prevent further collapse of the international system by emphasizing the need to protect freedom of navigation and transit, as well as to prevent further attacks."
