Multiple regions in Hubei intensively optimize housing fund policies

From Hubei’s Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, we learned that in recent times, many locations in Hubei—including Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang, Xianning, Xiaogan, Suizhou, and Shennongjia—have intensively optimized their housing provident fund usage policies. A series of people-benefiting measures have been rolled out, focusing on lowering loan entry thresholds, increasing approved loan amounts, loosening withdrawal conditions, making intercity handling more convenient, and supporting urban renewal. The new policy has a broad coverage area and strong public benefit. In multiple places, barriers for intercity services have been broken to improve the convenience of using the provident fund. Wuhan has removed the restriction that borrowers with out-of-city loan needs must have Wuhan household registration; nationwide employees who are making provident fund contributions can apply for a provident fund loan when purchasing a home in Wuhan. Yichang has removed the restriction requiring that, for home purchases outside the province, applicants must provide local social security or household registration proof in order to withdraw funds. Xianning supports intercity-contributing employees in handling “commercial-to-provident-fund” loans, further easing the burden of purchasing a home. (Caixin Finance)
