U.S. military rescue operation results in 5 deaths and 8 injuries in Iran

People’s Finance Network, April 5—According to reports from Iranian media on April 5, during an operation to rescue a U.S. Marine pilot whose aircraft was shot down, the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on southern Iranian areas on the evening of April 4, killing 5 people and injuring 8. Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, citing statements from Iranian local government officials, reported that after the enemy aircraft was hit, the enemy side had been trying to locate the relevant personnel in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province and then launched the airstrike.
