Honestly, the metaverse is really becoming something worth seriously exploring right now. I've spent quite a bit of time testing different metaverse applications, and I wanted to share what I found to be the best.
As a starting point, RobotEra really impressed me. It's a comprehensive ecosystem where you create a robot avatar (as an NFT), and you can build and monetize your own land parcels. They use their token TARO, and the idea of creating a true shared multiverse is pretty cool.
If you like fighting games, Battle Infinity on the Binance Smart Chain is worth checking out. It's packed with play-to-earn games with a real community. They even have a decentralized exchange system and an integrated NFT marketplace.
Axie Infinity remains a classic for PVP battles. People buy creatures called Axies (as NFTs) and make them fight to earn rewards in AXS. The token is currently around $1.12, and the user base is still active.
Now, Roblox is different because it doesn't use blockchain, but it's still a huge metaverse application with over 200 million monthly users. You can design your own games or play those made by others.
MOBOX is an excellent GameFi ecosystem with a very accessible Android app. You can play P2E games, trade NFTs, and even stake your MBOX tokens for yields. It's really user-friendly.
Decentraland remains a must if you want to buy virtual land. MANA is around $0.09 now. You can create 3D experiences and monetize your virtual property.
Mines of Dalarnia is free to try. It's a dungeon exploration game where you gather resources and earn DAR (currently $0.02). It's browser-based, so no need to install anything.
The Sandbox allows for crazy creativity with voxels (like Minecraft in 3D). You build structures, sell them as NFTs, and SAND (the token) is around $0.08. No programming experience needed.
Zepeto, launched by the Korean company Naver Z, offers a massive metaverse experience with highly customizable 3D avatars. The mobile app makes it super accessible anywhere.
Bloktopia is an interesting metaverse real estate project structured like a 21-story skyscraper. You buy space with BLOK and rent out your virtual property to generate income. They really emphasize VR for an immersive experience.
Honestly, the metaverse app sector has really matured. Each platform has its unique thing, whether for playing, creating, or investing. It really depends on what you're looking to do in these virtual worlds.
