The US and Israel conduct airstrikes on Iran's petrochemical hub! The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia is attacked, Iran condemns: it was Israel's doing; Iran warns Middle Eastern countries: "If you don't want to be hit, let the US military withdraw."
U.S. and Israeli Airstrikes Hit Iran’s Petrochemical Zone; Iran: Oil Export Volumes Have Increased
A spokesperson for the CCTV headquarters learned in the early hours of the 4th local time morning that not long ago, the Mahshahr petrochemical zone in Iran’s southwest reportedly heard several explosions, with heavy smoke rising from parts of the area. At present, the exact location of the explosions and the extent of the damage cannot yet be accurately assessed.
An Iranian deputy director of security and law enforcement in Khuzestan province said that in the enemy airstrike on the Mahshahr petrochemical zone, Fajir No. 1 and No. 2, as well as the Rigar and Amir Kabir Petrochemical companies were targeted. The strike is highly likely to have caused casualties.
According to Iranian media reports, the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran’s Mahshahr petrochemical economic zone, injuring at least 5 people. The administration of the Mahshahr petrochemical economic zone said today (April 4) that all personnel of active industrial units within the zone have been evacuated.
It is worth noting that U.S. President Trump previously posted on March 26 on his social media “Real Social,” saying that it would pause strikes against Iran’s energy facilities for 10 days, resuming at 8:00 p.m. on April 6 U.S. Eastern Time. This has not yet expired.
The CCTV reporter learned that on April 4, the chairman of Iran’s parliamentary energy committee said Iran’s oil export volumes have increased. He also said that the supply of fuel nationwide in Iran is currently normal, and that Iran has made the necessary preparations to respond to the war. In addition, inspections and assessments of Iran’s South Pars natural gas field after the attack have been completed.
Also, according to the Tasnim News Agency, Iranian authorities said that after the U.S.-Israel joint strike on the Karaj B1 bridge, the number of civilians killed has risen to 13 people, including multiple injured. On April 2, the Beyk Highway Bridge in Karaj, Iran (also known as the Karaj B1 bridge) was hit by two rounds of airstrikes by the United States and Israel, severely damaging it.
Iran: “Return a More Powerful, More Decisive Response”; The Attack on the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia Was Done by Israel
Iran’s News TV reported on the 4th that the spokesperson of the Haftam Anbiya Central Headquarters of Iran’s armed forces issued a statement that day, warning that if the United States continues to threaten to destroy Iran’s bridges, power plants, and energy infrastructure, Iran will “respond more powerfully and more decisively.”
The statement said that if these threats are carried out, in addition to striking all assets of the U.S. and Israel in the Middle East region, Iran will also “launch broader strikes with greater power and greater decisiveness” on fuel, energy infrastructure, power plants, and so on in that region.
The statement emphasized that for countries in the Middle East region that have U.S. military bases, if they wish to avoid suffering losses, they must have Americans withdraw from their territory.
On April 4 local time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Public Relations Department released a message stating that it condemns the claim by the U.S. side that the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia was attacked by Iran. The statement said this incident has nothing to do with Iran and pointed out that given the strategic position of the Israeli forces in the region, the action was “undoubtedly carried out by Israel.”
The Revolutionary Guard Corps said that Iran had previously clearly announced the scope of its strike targets, and it had already issued necessary warnings to neighboring countries regarding Israel’s actions of stirring unrest in the region.
Earlier, according to reports from Kuwait on the 3rd, Fatima Hayat, spokesperson of Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, said that the attack launched by Iran that day caused damage to a power and seawater desalination plant in Kuwait.
On the afternoon of April 3 local time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement accusing Israel of launching an attack on seawater desalination facilities within Kuwait.
The statement condemned Israel’s “inhumane conduct,” and also reiterated that U.S. military bases and personnel, as well as Israel’s military facilities, in the Middle East region are all targets of Iran’s strikes, urging countries in West Asia to remain vigilant against the “conspiracy” of the United States and Israel to undermine peace and stability in the region.
Israel has made no response to this so far.
According to a report from Xinhua News Agency citing Israel’s public broadcasting corporation Channel 1, Israel is concerned that U.S. President Trump may announce that Iran’s military action “has achieved results and ended” even before the negotiations have produced clear outcomes.
