The billionaire’s dog got lost while out for a walk, and he posted a dog search notice on a TV station:

“Dog is lost; reward for returning it: 10,000 yuan.”
A large, colorful photo of the puppy was still on the screen.
Soon, the people bringing the dog kept coming one after another, and the billionaire kept saying, “It isn’t my family’s dog.”
The billionaire’s wife thought to herself: The one who picked up the dog must think the reward is too small. This is a purebred Irish champion dog!
So, the billionaire increased the reward to 20,000 yuan.
This dog was picked up by a beggar while he was napping on a park bench.
After seeing the ad, the beggar took the dog to claim the reward the very next day. When he passed by a large department store, he saw on the screen that the reward had already risen to 30,000 yuan.
The beggar immediately turned around, carried the dog back to his own shabby cave, and re-tied it.
On the fourth day, the reward really did rise again.
In the next few days, the beggar stayed by the giant screen without taking even a step away. As he watched the reward keep climbing until the whole city was astonished, he finally felt it was enough.
The beggar hurried back to his shabby cave with excitement, only to find that the dog was already dead.
Because the dog was used to eating fresh milk and roast beef at the billionaire’s house, but what the beggar fed it was just scraps and leftover cold rice picked from the trash can—it simply couldn’t eat them.
