I recently decided to join one of those famous cryptocurrency signal groups you see everywhere on social media. You know, those groups where supposedly "professional traders" tell you exactly when to enter and exit positions. They offered three days for free, so I thought, what do I have to lose?
The thing is, these signal groups work more or less like this: they send you an entry point, a take profit, and a stop loss, and you copy the trade. End of story. The group I was in presented themselves as "teachers" with portfolios worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of experience. Of course, then you realize that's all smoke and mirrors.
My first trade was with Shiba Inu at 10x leverage. I made a 12% profit and thought, "Well, these guys might have a point." The next two trades were disasters. I lost almost 8% on each, even though they told me to close before hitting the stop loss. Then came the famous 50x trade on BTC. Yes, 50x. I hesitated a lot, but I did it and gained 60%. It seemed like things were going well.
But that's where everything went to hell. They asked me to pay $30 to continue after the three free days. I paid, thinking I could document the full month-long experience. It was the worst month of my trading. Most of the crypto signals they sent were for shitcoins. The losses were constant. The weirdest part is they only posted the gains in the general group, and almost never mentioned the failures. I saw only once that they admitted a 2% loss and said they had "saved the day."
Here are my actual numbers after 30 days: total gains of $40.56, total losses of $79.10, net result of -$38.54. And that’s without participating in all the trades. Imagine someone investing more money per trade—that must be devastating.
The interesting part is doing the math: when I renewed, there were about 40 members paying $30 monthly. That means the admins were making $1,200 just from subscriptions. And there are always new people falling into the trap to replace those who leave.
My conclusion after this experience is simple: don’t join any crypto signal group, period. These "traders" usually don’t know anything about what they’re talking about; they just pretend to be experts to sell you the illusion. The profits they show probably come from Google Images. If someone really had the magic to make money consistently, why would they sell it to you for $30 a month? Take care, brother.
