I just saw something interesting about X and InfoFi apps. It turns out these applications were already paying millions of dollars for access to the enterprise API, but according to Nikita Bier, the product manager, they simply said they didn't want it.
The reason is quite clear: these apps were generating a lot of AI-generated content spam. So much so that X decided to revoke access immediately. In other words, they didn't even want to keep charging if it meant letting more junk onto the platform.
I don't know, but it says a lot that Nikita Bier publicly clarified this. It seems that X is becoming more selective about who accesses their APIs. Do you think other platforms should do the same?
