FIFA Partners with ADI Predictstreet for 2026 World Cup Prediction Market
On April 4, FIFA announced a multi-year partnership with ADI Predictstreet, making it the official prediction market partner for the 2026 World Cup. This marks FIFA’s first introduction of a prediction market mechanism to enhance fan engagement. According to the partnership details, fans will be able to make predictions on match outcomes, event statistics, player performances, and key incidents through the platform. The platform will operate on the ADI Chain and utilize official historical data for analysis, while also introducing free prediction games. The 2026 World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, expanding to 48 teams and a total of 104 matches. FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated that this initiative aims to enhance global fan participation through innovative methods. Notably, FIFA chose not to partner with established platforms like Polymarket or Kalshi, opting instead for the yet-to-be-launched ADI Predictstreet. Officials indicated that the platform will adhere to regulatory and compliance frameworks and implement real-time monitoring mechanisms to prevent abnormal trading activities. Following the announcement, the price of ADI tokens reached an all-time high of $4.54, marking a nearly 12% increase over the past week. Market analysts believe this move signifies a new phase in the integration of prediction markets with sports events, which may also attract further regulatory scrutiny regarding related trading models.
