I was recently wondering how much money there is in the world, and the results are truly enlightening. It turns out that when it comes to physical cash—coins and banknotes—we’re talking about around $6.6 trillion. Sounds like a lot? It might be, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

In bank accounts and in the form of liquid assets, about $37 trillion circulates. When we add to that investments, derivatives, and the entire financial infrastructure, the number already reaches $1.2 quadrillion. This is a truly astronomical amount.

What strikes me? How small a percentage of this total wealth is made up of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin and the rest of the sector are only a tiny fraction of this global money. The question that comes to mind is—how much of that $1.2 quadrillion will go toward digital assets? And what will our share be in this transformation?

It’s impressive that we can track how much money there is in the world, but even more interesting is where that money will be in a few years. Especially considering how quickly the financial landscape is changing. It’s worth watching this market closely.
