Jinlv: Chirei Autonomous Driving Bus Officially Starts Operation at Haicang Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park

When “AI” meets “ai,” a transformation about the future of mobility is quietly underway in Haicang, Xiamen. On March 30, at the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Empowering Haicang “Four Chains” Integration Matchmaking Event “AI and ai in Action,” more than 200 representatives from relevant departments in Xiamen, key enterprises, universities, and research institutes jointly witnessed a milestone moment—Jinli Passenger Car’s new-generation autonomous shuttle bus “Chirui” officially went live and began running in Haicang. This marks a solid step forward for Xiamen in driving deep integration between artificial intelligence and the real economy, and in building a demonstration zone for the intelligent connected vehicle industry.

As Xiamen’s first “Four Chains” integration event this year, this event closely follows Xiamen’s deployment for the development of its artificial intelligence industry. A number of AI industrial cooperation projects were showcased in a concentrated way, injecting strong momentum into the regional AI industry’s growth. On the day of the event, representatives visited the Haicang biopharmaceutical industrial park and experienced Jinli autonomous passenger buses through an immersive experience, feeling firsthand the practical applications of intelligent driving scenarios. And this “Chirui” autonomous shuttle bus, which will soon shuttle through the biopharmaceutical industrial park, is a vivid illustration of Xiamen’s approach—driving technology with scenarios and promoting the industry through applications.

The Jinli “Chirui” autonomous shuttle bus that has been launched for operation can be considered a benchmark work in China’s current commercial autonomous driving vehicle sector. Its exterior is cool and fashionable, and brimming with a sense of technology. Inside the vehicle, there is no driver’s cab or steering wheel; instead, there is a concise central control console, creating a seating space with a strong futuristic feel. The vehicle is equipped with multiple types of sensors, including high-definition cameras, LiDAR, GPS/IMU, and others, enabling centimeter-level high-precision positioning and 360-degree blind-spot-free environmental perception. Relying on Jinli’s independently developed drive-by-wire chassis and high-performance computing platform, the vehicle’s response speed reaches the millisecond level. It is also equipped with multiple redundant safety systems—critical systems such as steering and braking adopt heterogeneous redundant design; even if a component fails, the backup system can immediately and seamlessly take over, ensuring that the vehicle remains safe and controllable.

In fact, Haicang District’s connection with Jinli “Chirui” has not happened overnight. As early as January this year, Haicang District announced that it would carry out trial operations and testing for autonomous passenger buses at the Xiamen Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park, and also initiated data collection and high-precision map-mapping work. After months of careful preparation, “Chirui” has now officially gone into operation. It will serve as a shuttle bus for the park, providing convenient and intelligent travel experiences for enterprises and employees. The scaled commercial operation of the Chirui autonomous shuttle bus in Haicang—“right at the doorstep”—also has special significance for Jinli Passenger Cars. It is not only an important practical example of using artificial intelligence to empower people’s livelihood travel, but also the latest achievement in the intelligent connected vehicle field: on March 14, Jinli helped escort and open the country’s first cross-border medical route, providing residents in the two places of Qin’ao with a one-stop cross-border medical service of “get on immediately at customs clearance, and get treatment immediately after getting off.” From port to hospital, from park to community, Jinli “Chirui” is entering Haicang’s livelihood arteries for industrial development, heading toward a broad world of smart mobility.
