I recently realized that offending Tai Sui is far more complicated than just the zodiac year; most information online is incomplete. After careful research, I found that offending Tai Sui actually includes five types: Zhi Tai Sui, Chong Tai Sui, Xing Tai Sui, Hai Tai Sui, and Po Tai Sui, each with different levels of impact.

Zhi Tai Sui (the zodiac year) and Chong Tai Sui have the greatest influence, often causing fluctuations in health, career, and interpersonal relationships. Interestingly, Chong Tai Sui can sometimes be more severe than Zhi Tai Sui. Hai Tai Sui mainly involves minor conflicts and disputes, while Po Tai Sui can lead to financial loss or health issues. Xing Tai Sui is quite special, as it can easily cause legal issues or disputes; attention should be paid to contracts and regulations.

Conversely, there is also He Tai Sui, which includes the Six Harmonies (Liu He) and Three Harmonies (San He), considered auspicious. The strongest is Liu He, followed by San He. For example, in the Year of the Horse, the most auspicious are those born in the Year of the Sheep for Liu He, and those born in the Year of the Tiger and Dog for San He. But those born in the Year of the Horse are unlucky, as they offend Tai Sui and also face Xing Tai Sui; those born in the Year of the Rat should also be cautious.

Besides offending Tai Sui, the Five Elements associated with the zodiac also matter—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth interact through mutual generation and overcoming. Honestly, these are folk traditions, so there's no need to be overly superstitious. But when luck is good, you can be a bit bolder; when offending Tai Sui, be cautious in transactions and pay more attention to health. Wishing everyone a prosperous Year of the Horse, and that all your wishes come true!
