I noticed an interesting trend—this year, the fortunes of the world’s richest people have reached simply incredible levels. Tech companies have completely rewritten the rules of the game.
Илон Маск holds first place with $726 billion—which is completely unprecedented in modern history. Never before has one person accumulated that amount of capital. SpaceX is growing like crazy, Starlink is expanding, Tesla continues to dominate, plus all the focus on neurotechnology. That turns out to be the perfect storm for growing wealth.
Next come the people who caught the internet wave back in the 90s. Larry Page, with his stake in Alphabet of around $270 billion—Google fully controls the AI direction. Bezos with Amazon and AWS is also not falling behind; he has $255 billion. Brin, Ellison, Zuckerberg—all of them are in the top 10 because they held shares in their companies, and those shares have increased in price by multiple times.
Just agree: the richest person in the world today is not simply an investor—it’s a person who controls entire ecosystems. AI, space, cloud computing, semiconductors—all of it is in the hands of American technology leaders. Dollars are simply being “printed” thanks to the revaluation of these companies.
It’s interesting that the richest person in the world constantly changes depending on which sector investors are focusing on. But right now, Musk has clearly pulled ahead and is maintaining his lead. The rest of the top 10 are mainly co-founders and CEOs of the largest tech corporations.
Full list: Musk (726), Page (270), Bezos (255), Brin (251), Ellison (248), Zuckerberg (233), Arnault (205), Ballmer (170), Huang (156), Buffett (151) billion.
So what’s the main thing here? Artificial intelligence and cloud technologies have created a phenomenon where the fortunes of the world’s richest people are growing exponentially. Space technologies, semiconductors, the dominance of American companies—all of this works to increase the capital of the top list. And it seems this trend is only accelerating.
