Iran Responds to U.S. President Trump’s Threatening Remarks.

Citing reports from Iranian media, Xinhua News Agency said that Iran’s military issued a statement saying that if the United States dares to take action against Iran’s infrastructure, Iran will destroy all “assets and infrastructure” of the United States and Israel in the Middle East.

According to a report by Iran’s Fars News Agency, the statement was a response to repeated remarks made by U.S. President Trump in recent times, threatening to damage Iran’s bridges, power plants, and energy infrastructure, among other things. The statement said that if these threats are carried out, Iran will destroy all “assets and infrastructure” of the United States and Israel in the Middle East; the scope of strikes may also be further expanded to “important assets in the Middle East of America’s followers.”

The statement also said that countries hosting U.S. military bases should, if they wish to avoid being caught in the crossfire, urge the U.S. forces to withdraw from their territories.

On the night of the 2nd, U.S. President Trump claimed on social media that U.S. troops “have not yet started destroying what’s left in Iran,” and that the next step would be to strike Iran’s bridges and power plants.

Earlier on the morning of the 2nd, Trump posted a video on social media saying that an airstrike destroyed Iran’s “largest bridge,” pressuring Iran to “reach an agreement” with the United States. Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi responded that destroying civilian facilities would not force Iran to surrender.

Earlier, Trump had repeatedly threatened to destroy Iran’s power plants and other facilities.
