Just read something wild... so this venture capitalist in SF, Lachy Groom, got his place invaded last month and lost like $11 million in crypto. The crazy part? Dude's actually Sam Altman's ex-boyfriend, and the robbery was apparently super organized.

From what the reports say, someone dressed up as a delivery driver, knocked on the door claiming to be 'Joshua' from UPS, and when he opened it, the guy literally forced his way in with a gun. Tied him up with tape, beat him while someone on speakerphone kept reading off his personal info. They cleaned out all his Ethereum and Bitcoin in like 90 minutes. Police found him bruised up when they showed.

The whole thing screams organized crime - targeted hit, not random. Cops think these guys knew exactly what they were doing and what he had. Dude bought the house from the Altman brothers back in 2021 for $1.8 million, so clearly he's been doing well in venture capital. But yeah, losing $11 million in a home invasion is absolutely brutal. This is the kind of story that makes you realize how risky holding that much crypto can be if people know about it.
