I just saw that Russia reaffirmed its commitment to Venezuela at a very delicate time. The Russian Foreign Minister recently had a conversation with the Venezuelan Vice President, and what’s interesting is how Moscow emphasized that it will remain a firm ally in defending Venezuelan interests.

What caught my attention is that this is not just a generic support message. Lavrov was quite clear in stating that Russia stands by the Venezuelan people in the face of what he describes as armed aggression. This reflects a very firm stance on defending Caracas’s national sovereignty.

During the dialogue, both parties agreed on one fundamental point: to prevent the situation from escalating further. It seems that both Moscow and Caracas are seeking to resolve issues through dialogue, which is notable given the current regional tensions.

Most importantly, they also reiterated their intention to deepen the strategic partnership. This goes beyond circumstantial support; it’s a sign that mutual defense of interests will continue to be central to their relationship. Moscow is making it clear that it is not a temporary ally, but a committed partner in defending Venezuela in the medium term.

This kind of diplomatic move always has broader implications in regional geopolitics. It’s worth paying attention to how this alliance develops.
