Day 66 · Waiting for the Bamboo to Grow Tall

I heard that in the first four years underground, bamboo only grows three centimeters.
That three centimeters is all underground. Invisible, untouchable, only when you dig it up do you realize its roots have quietly spread over hundreds of square meters. Starting from the fifth year, it shoots up at a rate of thirty centimeters a day, reaching fifteen meters in just six weeks.
In the first four years, it’s not in a hurry because it knows it’s taking root.
During tough times, it’s like the first four years of bamboo.
The numbers on your account look bad, the K-line doesn’t cooperate, everyone else is rising, only yours is falling. You start to doubt: Did I choose the wrong one? Should I switch?
But what you can’t see is growing beneath the surface. Those review sessions, those waits, those nights of holding back from selling—they’re quietly taking root. One day, when the market changes direction, you’ll realize you stand firmer than anyone else.
I’m not saying I’m not anxious. I just know that some things take time. Once the bamboo’s roots are deep enough, it will grow tall. Once the market’s temporary losses are worn down, they will turn into gains.
A friend asked: How can you be so sure?
