I just saw that Mexico City Metro Line 2 will continue with changes this weekend. Basically, they are splitting the service into two circuits: one from Cuatro Caminos to Pino Suárez and another from Xola to Tasqueña. The San Antonio Abad, Viaducto, and Chabacano stations remain closed all day.
What I found helpful is that they are offering free RTP buses between Pino Suárez and Xola to cover the section where trains are not running. According to what I read, all of this is due to drainage work in pump stations over 40 years old, so at least it makes sense. The idea is that Line 2 will be more reliable during the rains.
If you need to travel through Mexico City Metro stations this Sunday, it's better to leave early and consider the Metrobús on parallel axes. The normal schedule is from 7 a.m. to midnight on the active sections. Does anyone else need to cross the south of the city these days? It’s a bit complicated with these changes.
