Abstract generation in progress

A Minnesota judge has granted UnitedHealth an extension until April 29 to provide documents related to a lawsuit alleging the insurer uses an AI algorithm to improperly deny rehabilitation care claims. The plaintiffs claim the AI tool has a 90% error rate, leading to seriously ill patients being denied necessary care. UnitedHealth disputes the allegations, stating that coverage decisions are made by medical directors, not solely by AI, and that the naviHealth tool serves as a guide.
