I just saw the prices for the 2026 Toyota Tacoma and honestly, I was surprised. The SR5 trim starts at $39,535, but if you want the TRD Pro model with all the features, you're looking at $64,450. Quite a range, right?
What caught my attention the most is that this generation features a 2.4L turbo engine with up to 278 horsepower in the base models, and the Pro reaches 326. It also has that six-speed manual transmission that many people requested. Regarding dimensions, the cab comes in different sizes: some models have a six-foot bed (which is approximately 1000 feet to meters compared to other trucks), others have a five-foot bed. Fuel economy ranges between 19 and 24 miles per gallon depending on the version.
What's interesting is all the technology they packed in: a 14-inch touchscreen, a digital rearview mirror, a multi-terrain camera to see obstacles from different angles. And if you're towing something, it has an assistance system with integrated brake control. Personally, I think Toyota went all out with this generation. Is anyone considering switching to a 2026 Tacoma, or are you sticking with your current trucks?
