So I came across this totally crazy story about Carl Rinsch, the guy who directed 47 Ronin. Apparently, he got caught for scamming Netflix out of $11 million. Like, seriously, how does it even come to that?
The thing is, Carl Rinsch had secured these funds to produce a series called 'Conquest,' but instead, he allegedly used the money to buy cryptocurrencies and crazy stuff—luxury cars, designer clothes, everything you can imagine. Netflix obviously canceled the project in 2021 when they found out.
He was found guilty on seven counts, including wire fraud, money laundering, the whole package. Carl Rinsch faces up to 90 years in prison, according to prosecutors. It’s wild, honestly. Who would have thought that the director of 47 Ronin would do something like this?
