I just found out that the recent time change in California was the last one under Newsom's administration. On March 8th, Californians had to set their clocks forward an hour for DST, and apparently, this will be the last time it happens while he's in office. Quite crazy considering he's been in power since 2019.
What surprised me is that the California time change isn't just a state thing. 48 states did it on the same day, except Hawaii, Arizona, and some territories that don't participate directly. So, almost the entire country was synchronized.
By the way, the next California time change will be in November 2026 when they switch back to standard time. But what caught my attention most is that experts say losing that hour of sleep really affects you. They recommend getting plenty of rest, avoiding caffeine before bed, and getting sunlight in the mornings. It makes sense, although honestly, I always find it hard to adjust to the time change.
