Kroll bond rating agency (KBRA) has rated Ripple Prime’s U.S. broker-dealer and holding company as “medium quality,” at the BBB level, which is the lowest investment-grade category. Ripple Prime provides integrated trading, lending, and settlement services for institutional investors. KBRA noted that the rating reflects that its business is still in an “expansion stage,” with revenue mainly concentrated in exchange derivatives clearing and short-term Treasury financing.
