Hey, if you live in CDMX or Edomex and drive, you need to pay attention to the No-Drive Day. Basically, it works like this: depending on the color of your license plate sticker and the last digits of your license plate, a different group of cars is restricted each day. Blue plates ending in 9 or 0 are restricted on Fridays, yellow plates ending in 5 or 6 on Mondays, and so on.

The important thing is to know what time the No-Drive Day ends so you can go out without problems. The restriction runs from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., so if you need to drive after that, you're good. On Sundays, everyone can drive freely unless an extraordinary environmental contingency is declared.

In Edomex, it applies in 18 municipalities, including Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl, Naucalpan, and others around the city. If you don't respect the No-Drive Day, you can be fined in any of the 16 boroughs of CDMX or those municipalities in the State. The goal is to reduce pollution, so when air quality gets really bad, they activate Double No-Drive Day, making it even more restrictive. Make sure to check which day it is for you before heading out.
