I just read that the prosecution has requested the seizure of 141 properties, 46 cars, and over $5 million from Cristina Kirchner, her family, and Lázaro Báez in the Vialidad case. The most striking part is that these convicted individuals are supposedly required to pay nearly 685 billion pesos, but they haven't deposited a single peso yet.
What's interesting is that Lázaro Báez's current involvement in all this is complicated because the prosecution says he and his companies own 128 of those properties they want to auction off. The judges already ordered the seizure of 111 properties last November, and now they aim to add 141 more to reach a total of 252.
The defenses are opposing, especially Cristina Kirchner and her children, claiming that many of these assets were not theirs at the time of the events. But the court rejected the objections. What do you think? Will all this come to fruition or will it stay in the courts?
