“W e have already received a phone call saying they want to invest in Zhangxue motorcycle.” In response to Zhangxue motorcycle’s championship win in the WSBK this time, Liang Xia o, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area’s Commission of Economy and Information Technology, said that as the competent department, it will do a good job of service, supporting Zhangxue motorcycle to further grow.

He said that before this year’s Spring Festival, the Liangjiang New Area found that Zhangxue motorcycle’s product sales were promising, so it took the initiative to connect with the company. During the negotiations, Zhangxue motorcycle raised needs such as land acquisition and expanding its scale; the Liangjiang New Area quickly sorted them out, and ultimately came up with a方案.

“At present, both sides have already reached a preliminary intention,” Liang Xia o said. The auto and motorcycle industry is a key industry in the Liangjiang New Area. With Zhangxue motorcycle’s championship win, it will inevitably become the “chain leader” in this industrial chain, attracting more upstream and downstream enterprises to gather in Chongqing. The Liangjiang New Area will seize this opportunity, do a good job of service, and expand the scale of the motorcycle industrial chain.

Not only the Liangjiang New Area—Chongqing as a whole is the same.

Lu o Tengfei, deputy director of the Automobile Industry Division of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, said that as of now, the city has 51 above-scale motorcycle complete-vehicle enterprises and more than 410 above-scale parts enterprises. It has already formed comprehensive production capacity with annual output of over 20 million complete vehicles and 20 million engines. Among the parts enterprises, five companies—including Zongshen Engine (engines), Zhicheng Machinery (cylinder heads), Jiel i Wheel Hubs (wheel hubs), Yuan An Suspension (shock absorbers), and Yijiang Lan Feng (cases)—are the top sellers nationwide in their respective sub-sectors.

As for specific enterprises, fuel motorcycle companies represented by Zongshen, Lon gxin, Xinyuan, and Aerospace Bashan are concentrated in the Banan District and Jiulongpo District. In the western Chongqing region, such as the Tongliang District, Yongchuan District, and Daz u District, electric motorcycle companies represented by Yadee, Aima, Taili ng, and Lvyuan are concentrated. Overall, the region shows a coordinated development pattern of “fuel upgrades in the main urban area, with electric leadership in western Chongqing.”

“Now, we also have many niche brands rising. In addition to this Zhangxue motorcycle, there are also Qiu long Technology, Changming Motorcycle, and others,” Lu o Tengfei said. These emerging brands are all injecting new momentum into Chongqing’s motorcycle industry.

He said that Chongqing has a complete and mature motorcycle industrial chain, which is a kind of confidence—enough to “catch” the industrial “traffic” brought by Zhangxue motorcycle’s championship win. Chongqing also welcomes all kinds of motorcycle companies to invest and do business in Chongqing.

“We will continue to support the high-end, electrification, and intelligent transformation and development of the motorcycle industry, and accelerate efforts to upgrade the industry’s capabilities, fill gaps in the supply chain, and strengthen the chain.” Lu o Tengfei said. Next, Chongqing will hold motorcycle exhibitions, displays, and race events with industry influence, further improve the industrial ecosystem, and strive to have the city’s total motorcycle production exceed 10 million units in 2026, continuously burnish the gold-letter brand of “Made in Chongqing.”
