Sold for a big win, hit the board with Tongda Shares, bought the dip on two new targets, and it's another bright red day.

(I) Today’s market view (themes)

Yesterday’s limit-up stocks and how they performed today

  1. The overall trend of the broader market

Today, the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3919.29 points, down 29.26 points, a decline of 0.74%. The full-day trading range was 1.33%, with a high of 3952.58 points and a low of 3900.12 points. This is a typical “spike up then fall back” and “weaker in choppy trading” pattern. In the morning, the index once surged above 3950 points, then drifted lower in intraday volatility for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, it dipped to around the 3900-point round-number level and then rebounded slightly, finally closing below 3920 points. On a daily-chart basis, it continues the recent adjustment trend. Near-term bullish momentum is clearly insufficient, and overall market sentiment is fairly cautious.
On the trading value front, the three mainland markets (Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing) saw total turnover of 1.86 trillion for the day, down 167 billion from the prior trading day. This represents a shrinking volume adjustment, indicating that there isn’t much appetite to chase gains higher. Funds within the market are mainly focused on realizing profits, while funds on the sidelines have strong wait-and-see sentiment. For price movement distribution, across the whole market there were 1052 advancing stocks, 55 flat, and 4378 declining. The number of losers far exceeds the number of gainers, the “losing-money effect” is significant, and the market’s “making money effect” is extremely poor. Most stocks follow the broader market down in their adjustments.

  1. Sector rotation and theme strength

From the overview of hot spots, today’s sector rotation was extremely fast, and the lack of theme continuity on the main line was severe:
Active directions in the morning: After the open, state-owned enterprise reform themes, share buybacks, innovative drugs, and fiber-concept ideas surged first and drove the index higher early on. Among them, fiber price hikes / the fiber concept rose due to industry-positive news in a pulse, but after the spike it quickly pulled back—this is a classic one-day wonder. Commercial space and raw-material drug themes also only had brief early performance, then followed the broader market lower without sustained profit-making effects.
Afternoon capital moves: In the afternoon, the index continued to probe lower. Only the state-owned enterprise reform direction had a few scattered bursts. There was just 1 limit-up stock, showing that theme strength was severely suppressed and that the willingness of funds to “pool together” was very low. Hot spots had no continuity at all. The rotation speed was so fast that short-term funds couldn’t keep up.
Summary of theme strength: Today had no strong main theme whatsoever. All themes were pulse-like rallies followed by quick pullbacks, which is typical scattered activity during a broad decline. Weighty directions such as state-owned enterprises and state-owned enterprise reform did attempt to support the market, but the force was insufficient to lift overall sentiment. Fiber, commercial space, and other themes were only short-term pulses triggered by news stimulation, with no sustainability. Innovative drugs and raw-material drug themes in the pharma sector also only spiked in the morning and weakened in the afternoon—overall theme strength was extremely poor.

  1. Short-term trading ideas

Right now, the market is in a shrinking-volume adjustment with widespread losing trades. Short-term trading is very difficult. The core strategy is defense: control your position size, don’t blindly chase any pulse themes, and avoid getting trapped by chasing. For stocks you already hold, focus on the support strength at the 3900-point round-number level. If the index effectively breaks below that level, you should promptly cut positions to avoid risk. If the index stabilizes around 3900 points, you can do limited “trial trades” with small position sizes on state-owned enterprise reform and other weighty “support-the-market” directions, but you must strictly control position sizing and be quick in and quick out. At the same time, pay close attention to tomorrow’s changes in trading volume. If volume continues to shrink, the adjustment is likely to continue, so you should remain cautious.

(II) Yesterday’s plan
What I was thinking yesterday was that if Dayao at the open experienced a rapid sell-off, I wanted it—but instead it didn’t fall enough before it was directly pulled up, which caused my low-buy order to become an invalid order. So I won’t chase it. I sold my bottom position when it surged and then failed to seal the limit-up, then pulled back; basically I sold around 6%.

(III) Bringing in money today
New additions:
Tongda Shares: I placed a buy when it hit the board. It炸了一天 (kept failing all day). It’s driving the big brother to worry like crazy—he probably bought too much, so he can only use life to block the gate.
Pingtan Development: I bought a dip around the 2.5% moving average early in the morning, and I finished the day with a small profit.
Tianyin Electromechanical: When it broke 55 in the afternoon, I bought directly. Then it immediately pulled up with a straight line—awesome.

Deleted:
Guosheng Technology: I sold everything after it surged to 4% in the morning. In the afternoon I almost wanted to push it to the limit-up again—unfortunately, with 30 yuan and no big brother stepping in, otherwise I would have sent it back.
Tongda Shares: I wanted it when it had that急杀 (rapid sell-off) at the open, but it didn’t drop enough before it was directly pulled up, leading to my low-buy order becoming an invalid order. So I won’t chase it. I sold my bottom position when it surged and didn’t seal the limit-up before pulling back; basically I sold around 6%
Fairs Wins: Yesterday I wanted to anticipate someone else’s anticipation, but the morning’s走势 (price action) didn’t go as expected. I sold it all in the red at 1%.

(III) Thoughts for multi-day limit-up plays
Jinyao Pharmaceutical: This morning saw differentiation, and in the afternoon capital flowed back to repair. Tomorrow should still have high expectations.
Xinzhonggang: Most of the power-related names were lying flat on the floor, and there are also bonds. I don’t like it.
Tongda Shares: It’s pretty good—there aren’t big problems. Just see how the main force operates it.
Xinghui Environmental Materials: The market is here? A 20cm triple consecutive limit-up is here.
Beida Med: Jinyao’s little brother.
Yibai Pharmaceutical: Jinyao’s little brother. This whole tier is pharma, and there’s not much to look forward to.
