I just read the interview with Tiziano Gravier after the Winter Olympics, and I’m surprised at how this 23-year-old guy has already established himself as a reference in Argentine skiing. He finished 26th in Giant Slalom and 28th in Super G, which is quite significant for Argentina in these disciplines.

What caught my attention the most is how he describes what happens between races. He says his dad analyzes statistics while his mom, who is Valeria Mazza, simply worries about him being okay and healthy. It’s typical, right? Everyone experiences it in their own way. Valeria Mazza was there at the Games supporting him, although she admits they didn’t see each other much during the competition due to training and recovery.

He’s now in Austria finishing the World Cup season, but what’s interesting is that he’s still studying Digital Business at the University of San Andrés. He has seven courses left and plans to graduate this year. He says it’s important to keep another door open, but right now he’s fully committed to the sport. They’re already thinking about the 2030 Olympic Games. In April, he’ll return to Argentina for a training camp with the Federation, and then the preseason starts in May.

I liked his answer about love: “No, my friends are waiting for me.” Haha. He admits that with so much traveling, it’s complicated, but he’s open to whatever comes. He seems a young guy very focused on his goals but without losing humility.
